EPS: porous, absorbs moisture, crumbles outdoors. HDU: dense, water-resistant, holds crisp edges for years. Completely different materials.

Can EPS go outdoors?+

No. Rain, humidity, and coastal air degrade EPS in 6–12 months. Indoor only.

What is 30 lb density HDU?+

Highest grade — extremely dense, sharpest edge detail, withstands full outdoor exposure for 10+ years when properly coated.

Why does depth matter?+

50mm: flat. 80mm: visible shadow and 3D presence. 100mm: maximum visual weight for large-format building signs.

What is the 3-coat paint system?+

Primer (bonds to HDU) + automotive enamel (rich colour) + UV lacquer (protects against fade). Same system used in automotive refinishing.

Can foam letters be backlit?+

EPS: no. HDU Premium: yes, Tier-1 LED backlit option. HDU Elite: Samsung + Meanwell for the most even backlighting.
